Located in Roa village, same place than the central headquarters of the Ribera del Duero Council is located too, CRUDABENDITA winery is run by locals combining the traditional and historical knowhow of the Ribera del Duero area with equipment investments to apply the utmost technologies at the wine elaboration processes.
Cruda – Raw: adj. //ˈkɾu.ða// Del lat. crudus. The purest version of the Ribera del Duero Terroir. Highest expresion of Tinta Fina.
Bendita – Sacred: adj. //benˈdita// Del lat. benedictus. Sacred liquid is the wine, elaborated to celebrate with joy and happiness.
The barrel stock room is composed by 3.000 barrels from the most exclusive barrel houses and artisans, comprising fine-grained oak barrels of French and American origin with different levels of toast that are combined to add the best contribution of toasted and spicy hints to the wines.
THE VINEYARDS
The very soul of CRUDABENDITA is the vineyard, with 150 hectares of vines cultivated at an average altitude of 900m above the sea level on clay and limestone soils. These hectares are planted in different plots located surrounding the Duero River. With unique characteristics that concentrate the warm temperatures during summer together with great drainage capacity that let grow and maturate the typical Tempranillo grapes in the best conditions.
